Acceptance 01:59
I won't learn nothing. It's all your job to teach me When I don't wanna learn. Of course I love you. I love all the parts you hate, And I hate the parts you love. I've only had seven months To get this through my head. It's a long road to acceptance When you're not even trying, When saying that you want to Means more than actually doing it. It's a long road to acceptance When you don't want acceptance, All you want is someone to control. I'm gonna argue. It's all new to me, but I know better. You haven't thought this through. I'll look up information online, Just on Fox News and TERF websites. Tell me everything you know So I can tell you how you're wrong. I've only had seven months To get this through my head. It's a long road to acceptance When you're not even trying, When saying that you want to Means more than actually doing it. It's a long road to acceptance When you don't want acceptance, All you want is someone to control.

After Work 03:00
Come meet me after work. Nobody else here looks like we do. Let's stick around and pretend. Let's make them turn their heads when we kiss. What am I doing here? Can I afford to walk through these doors? Does everybody see? Do they all know I don't belong here? We'll take what we can get. We'll never give another inch. No matter what they put here, This place is ours as much as it's theirs.

Astrology 03:25
Sometimes it feels like I'm The only one in the world who doesn't get it. When you talk about your sign, I can't help but sit there with a glazed look in my eye. Is there anybody else, Anyone at all who relates? Or am I fooling myself, After all this time, I'm straight. So oh oh oh, can I still be gay If I don't believe that my birthday Says anything about who I am as a person? And oh oh oh, would you still love me If your horoscope said it's not meant to be, Or would you pack your bags and walk away? With mercury in retrograde, I got kicked out of my house. And then with mercury in retrograde, I got it all figured out. It's almost like the world keeps spinning, Day after day. Or maybe that's just What a scorpio would say. So oh oh oh, can I still be gay If I don't believe that my birthday Says anything about who I am as a person? And oh oh oh, would you still love me If your horoscope said it's not meant to be, Or would you pack your bags and walk away? I'm not some logical, rational, know-it-all Person who thinks she's better than anyone else, I just don't think That the stars or mars or mercury care about us, And if you do that's fine, I don't mind, But I don't, and I hope that's okay, And you'll still love me anyway. So oh oh oh, can I still be gay If I don't believe that my birthday Says anything about who I am as a person? And oh oh oh, would you still love me If your horoscope said it's not meant to be, Or would you pack your bags and walk away?

On any given day, a kid goes out alone, Leaving home for the last time. She may get through it, but she'll never be the same. If only they knew, then they wouldn't be this way. She lives off these little lies. It's just like what they tell themselves so they can sleep at night. Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? The car pulls in and she hides her things away. "They'll never understand," she says. One day she'll run away and leave them all behind. She puts on another face and goes to say hello. Today she'll be their little boy. One day she'll see the day when she's their little girl. Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love? Is there a limit to your love?

about

Produced over the course of a full year, After All This Time, I'm Straight is Claire Roche's debut EP. It features a variety of moods both lyrically and musically, from the sarcastic, bitter "Acceptance" to the dreamy, rebellious "After Work." The songs pull inspiration heavily from Claire's experiences of living both secretly and openly as a trans person in transphobic environments, most notably in the song "Limit To Your Love," but the EP also includes the silly singalong "Astrology," a song absolutely full of queer inside jokes, including one that inspired the EP's tongue in cheek title.

**All proceeds from EP purchases will be donated to various organizations working to support black people and the fight against racist police violence. I will be matching all donations up to $500.**
